Most campgrounds and camping in Arizona is on public land - meaning little or no fees. Although many campgrounds have fresh water available, always carry fresh water while traveling in desert or wilderness areas. Enjoy hunting, fishing, hiking, photography and other outdoor recreation while visiting Arizona campgrounds and please, do your part to protect and preserve camping areas for future visitors. Bog Springs Campground has 13 camp sites with table bench units and restroom facilities. Located on the Western slope of the Santa Rita Mountains. Fee charged. Travel trailers less than 22 feet. Camp Rucker One of three campgrounds located within casting distance of great trout fishing. Camp Rucker has 9 camp sites, and is open year round. Fee charged. RV's limited to 16'. Catalina State Park Beautiful area, 2650 ft. elevation makes for perfect temperatures, even in summer. There is a main water supply, restroom facilities and a dump station. Fee charged. Cochise Stronghold Well-equipped campground. 23 camp sites, trailers are restricted to less than 16'. Table bench units and restroom facilities. Cypress Park This nicely shaded campground is located in Rucker Canyon, West side of the Chiricahua range. There is drinking water and restroom facilities. Fee charged. Open March through October. General Hitchock Trailers are not permitted at this Forest Service Campground. Water and table bench units. No fee. Season runs from April through October. Gilbert Ray Located near Saguaro National Monument and Arizona Sonoran Desert Museum. Pima County Park has modern restroom facilities, water, and electrical hookups at each of the 134 camp sites. Very relaxing campground. Idlewild-Cave Creek A Cave Creek campground, situated along Cave Creek on Eastern side of the Chiricahuas. 10 camp sites with water and restroom facilities. Fee charged. Trailers up to 22 feet are allowed. Molino Basin Beautiful campground located on the highway leading to Mt. Lemmon. Table bench units and restroom facilities. No drinking water. No fee. Hard to believe you are so close to the city. Parker Canyon Lake/Lakeview Beautifully located campground sits on a ridge overlooking Parker Canyon Lake. 64 camp sites with water and table bench units. Open all year. Patagonia Lake Arizona State Park has 34 camp sites, and 136 undeveloped camping spots. 10 of the 34 camp sites have water and electric hookups, and all have table bench units and grills. There are modern restroom facilities and hot showers. Open year round. Peppersauce Forest Service campground located on the back side of the Santa Catalina Mountains. Drinking water. No fee. Open year round. |
Picacho Peak State Park 31 camp sites, 19 have water and electric hookups. It sits at the foot of Picacho Peak, convenient for hiking this landmark. There are modern restroom facilities and hot showers. Pinery Canyon Forest Service campground, about 9 miles South of Chiricahua National Monument. 25 camp sites with drinking water availalbe. Season is April through November. Fee charged. Rose Canyon Main attraction of this National Forest Service campground is the small lake nearby which is stocked with trout. Largest campground on Mt. Lemmon. 98 camp camp sites. Drinking water, table bench units, and restroom facilities. Fee charged. Rucker Forest Camp Same amenities as Rucker Lake, and Camp Rucker. Restroom facilities, table bench units, and drinking water. Fee charged. Rucker Lake Although this campground is open year round, the water is turned off during the winter. There are 9 camp sites, and restroom facilities. Fee charged. Rustler Park Set on the Eastern side of the Chiricahua Mountains, this campground has nicely shaded camp sites and drinking water. Trailers up to 16 feet are permitted. South Fork-Cave Creek 4 camp sites with table bench units and restroom facilities. No drinking water. Open year round Spencer Canyon Open from April to October, this campground is almost at the top of Mt. Lemmon. 60 camp camp sites. Table bench units, restroom facilities, drinking water. Fee charged. Trailers up to 22 feet are permitted. Stewart A Cave Creek campground, appx 2 miles from Portal. Open year round, has water and restroom facilities. Fee charged. Sunny Flat Campground has 11 camp sites, water and restroom facilities. Fee charged. Open year round. Sycamore Situated on Turkey Creek, this campground has five camp sites, restroom facilities, but no drinking water. The canyon is very lush, Turkey Creek flows most of the year. Open year round, no fee. Upper White Rock Located on Pena Blanca Lake, Forest Service campground has every convenience. Most campsites are shaded by large oak trees. Fee charged. Water and restroom facilities. West Turkey Creek Forest Service Campground located northeast of Elfrida, in a shady canyon on the western side of Chiricahua Mountains. No drinking water, there are restroom facilities and table bench units. Open year round, no fee. |
